Was a bit of a circus tonight on the Plotless Monster. The belchy-belch is constipated and needs to be attended to.

I danced "Thunder Cats" but only Smurfet and Little Bear noticed. Busted some random yoga moves with Chuckles. Had a "did you check the floor" moment with Vanity.

But, I guess the best quote would come from Mother Bear who said, (I might be paraphrasing)"Sometimes you just need to get a person in a room and lock the door...You know, that Jamesen's came in handy. I should keep something like that in here, under lock and key of course. But something I can actually drink. I can't do whiskey. " Yes ma'am especially under lock and key.

Some people have all the luck, don't they? To be thoroughly air-headed or perpetually upset. I know the image thing has haunted her for decades. You don't get over self perpetuated trauma that easily. O, if only she could let it pass through her. I'm afraid she'll hate what THEY want to do to her hair. Afraid? um, no I know it will upset her.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if this assignment died. But that could be my exhaustion talking.

Little Bear has been telling me some of her favorite Vanity quotes. They are amazing. They should be collected in a book. I mean, right?

I acknowledge that thanksgiving happened and I am thankful for everything. I'm thankful for all the projects I'm involved in. But the is a part of me which insists on rest. Perhaps it's because my mother was so busy during my childhood. I saw the strain it put on her and those of us around her. It's impossible to lead a balanced life just as ti's pretty much impossible to run a balanced economy.

I'm reminded of seasonality this time of year. I think of how Judeo/Christian/Muslim life has sabbath, a day devoted to rest. With Jews there was even a year of sabbath. We apply this to creative and academic work but not so much to corporate work. So many people would benefit from a sabbatical. Ironically, now, there are people who feel they are in forced sabbatical. they don't take advantage of unemployment. Instead of grieving this could be a time of renewal. Somehow the idealistic "hippy" dream isn't too far off. It's appealing, no "stress". well, we're good at making stress if there isn't any real stress.

We've had way WAY too much shore leave lately. I don't know what to do with myself.

I've found myself telling the antidote involving that reoccurring moment when I realize that Vanity forgot to put her bathing suit on and is about to leap into the water. This is no dream it actually happened twice and is likely to happen again (hopefully not at the same time a mic goes out.) I find this story more amusing and better to tell than the time Viking flipped out about his pants which were hiding from him.

I get a shot of adrenaline at about 8pm on Thursdays, see my body knows it's show time. I don't really like the feeling. It's like being on stimulants when you'd rather not be. I told my brother the other day that we didn't need to take drugs we are drugs. Amazing. Yet oddly true. Not true in that annoying scientific way but true in an experiential psychological way.
